Etymology: Latin, alios, “other” and Latin, ramus “branch”, other branch.

Species: remotus KURZANOV, 1976
Etymology: Latin, remotus, "deviating."

Holotype: GI 3141/1

Locality: Ingenii Höövör Valley, Bayankhongor, Mongolia.

Horizon: Beds of Nogon Tsav.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nasals, maxilla, posterior portion of skull, posterior portion of lower jaw, and metatarsals II-IV.
Note: CARPENTER (in press) will exclude the above genus from the Tyrannosauridae.

Species: altai BRUSATTE, CARR, ERICKSON, BEVER & NORELL, 2009
Etymology: In reference to the Altai Mountain range, a prominent topographic feature of southern Mongolia.

Holotype: IGM 100/1844

Locality: Tsagaan Khushuu (originally called Tsagaan Uul), Nemegt Basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia

Horizon: Nemegt Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete, disarticulated skull, and nearly complete skeleton lacking the forelimbs, regions of the hindlimbs, pubis, and much of the dorsal and caudal vertebral series.
