Etymology: In reference to the Maleri Formation from which the holotype was discovered.

Holotype: ISI R 306

Locality: Nennal Village, Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh State, South India.

Horizon: Maleri Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Carnian Stage, Lower Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: A partial skull, several vertebrae, femur and astragalus.
Note: May be a lagosuchid (HECKER & LUCAS, (1998) 2000).
