Genus: Bistahieversor CARR & WILLIAMSON, 2010
Etymology: Bistahi, place of the adobe formation (Navajo) in reference to
the Bisti Wilderness Area and Greek, eversor, "destroyer"; in reference to the
presumed predatory habits of the animal.

Etymology: In honor of Mr. Paul Sealey, Research Associate at the NMMNH, in
recognition of his discovery of the holotype specimen.

Material: Fragmentary skull and fragmentary skeleton.
Note: Paleopathology, possible puncture wound on a palatal bone (ectopterygoid)
and related infection of bone and nearby periosteal tissue and a rib that shows
a healed fracture.

Material:
NMMNH P-25049: Navajo Nation: A complete right hind limb, proximal end of left femur, proximal end of left tibia, 75 percent of metatarsal IV, distal end of metatarsal III, proximal end of 1st phalanx, digit three, distal end of 2nd phalanx, digit three, and a partial metatarsal I, 3 fused caudal vertebrae, several proximal and distal rib ends, a complete right scapula, distal end of left scapula, and the proximal end of an ungual phalanx, 1st digit of left? forelimb, a partial premaxillary, a partial left dentary with several teeth, a partial left maxillary with four complete and partial 5th tooth intact, a complete left jugal and quadratojugal, a partial left lachrymal, partial nasals, and complete frontals.
Note: Palaeopathology, the ectopterygoid seems to have sustained a puncture and became infected and one rib shows a healed fracture (MOLNAR, 2001).

Material:
OMNH 10131: Posterior parts of both frontals, anterior part of the fused parietals, teeth, incomplete dentary, parts of both femora, a tibia, pubes, metatarsals, several ribs, ilium, and gastralia.
