Holotype: NGMC 2124
Locality: Jianshangou-Sihetun area of Beipiao, Shangyuan, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, China.
Horizon: Horizon 1, Lower part of the Yixian Formation, (Jiufotang Formation, = Chaomidianzi Formation of Ji et al, 1998), Jehol Group.
Biostratigraphy: Psittacosaurus Fauna, Confuciusornis Avifauna.
Age: Valanginian Stage, Upper Neocomian Subepoch, Early Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: A nearly complete skeleton with ‘feather’ impressions.
Note: Initally described by JI & JI (1997). This specimen includes symmetrodont
ammal 2 jaws (Zhangheotherium) and skeletal elements in the stomach
region (CURRIE & CHEN, 2001). A third jaw belongs to Sinobaatar (HURUM,
LUO & KIELAN-JAWOROWSKA, 2006)
Note: LONGRICH believes this is a new genus.
