Etymology: In honor of the paleontologist Walter W. Stein.

Locality: Harding County, South Dakota.

Horizon: Upper Hell Creek Formation.

Age: Lancian age, upper Maastrichtian Stage, uppermost Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Right pedal ungual II, right pedal ungual III, right femur, left and right tibiae, left astragalus and calcaneum, left metatarsals II-IV, right metatarsal IV, 1 fragmentary dorsal centrum, 10 caudal vertebrae, furcula, left and right humeri, left and right radii, left and right ulnae, right metacarpals I and III, and three fragmentary left manual phalanges.
