Etymology: Latin, prima, "first", in reference to the taxon being the frist troodontid form teh Baruungoyot Formation.
Holotype: MPC-D 110/119
Locality: Hermiin Tsav (Khemeen Tsav), Nemegt Basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.
Horizon: Baruunygot Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: 2 fragments of right ilium, incomplete left hind limb elements including the proximal femur, distal tibiotarsus, metatarsals II-IV, and pedial phalanges, a distal portion of the right femur, and unidentified bone fragments.
