Etymology: In honor of the Stark family, the owner of the Quarry Stark, District of Eichstatt, Bayern (Bavaria) State, Germany where the specimen was found.

Note: Nicknamed "Borsti".

Holotype: JME Sch 200

Locality: Stark Quarry, west of Schamhaupten, southern Franconian Alb, District of Eichstatt, Bayern (Bavaria) State, Germany.

Horizon: Malm Epsilon 2.

Biostratigraphy: Setatum subzone.

Age: Late KimmeridgianStage, Upper Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: Skull and skeleton of a juvenile.
