Etymology: Greek, aristotokos, "of noble origin"; in allusion to the phylogenetic position of Kilekus gen. nov. within the clade of derived theropoda (Coelurosauria).

Locality: Berezovsk Quarry, 2 km south of Nikol'skoe village, Sharypovo District, Kransoyarsk Territory, West Siberia, Asian Russia.

Horizon: Grey clays of the upper part of Itat Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Bathonian Stage, Upper middle Dogger Epoch, Middle Jurassic.

Material: Incomplete right maxilla.
