Genus: Kinnareemimus BUFFETAUT, SUTEETHORN & TONG, 2009
Etymology: "Kinnaree" (creatures of the legendary Himmapan Forest in Thai mythology with the body of a woman but the legs of a bird) and the Latin, mimus, "mimic," alluding to this critters "bird-like" feet.

Etymology: In reference to Khon Kaen Province and Latin, ensis, "place."

Locality: Phu Wiang site 5A, Amphoe Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province, northeastern Thailand.

Horizon: Sao Khua Formation, Khorat group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Cretaceous.

Material: An incomplete left third metatarsal with the distal end and part of the shaft.
