Etymology:

Holotype: MAU-Pv-LI-581

Locality: La Invernada fossil area, 50 km southwest of Ricon de los Sauces city, northeast Neuquen Province, Patagonia, Argentina.

Horizon: Bajo de la Carpa Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Santonian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary skull; a possible fragment of premaxilla with one tooth in situ, the right maxilla with teeth in situ, jugal, left lacrimal, right pterygoid, ectopterygoid, and quadrated, the complete braincase, frontals and parietals articualted with the right nasal and right fragmentary lacrimal, both postorbitals and both squamosals, and right prearticular.
