Genus: Nanshiungosaurus DONG, 1979
Etymology: in reference to Nanziong Province, China and Greek, sauros, “lizard”: “Nanxiong lizard”.

Species: brevispinus DONG, 1979
Etymology: Latin, brevis, "short" and Latin, spina, "spine."

Holotype: IVPP AS V4731

Locality: A small intermountain basin situated on the south slope of Dayu Mountain, Nanxiong basin, Guandong Province, China.

Horizon: Nanshiung Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Cervical, dorsal and sacral vertebrae and pelvis.

Species: bohlini DONG & YOU, 1997
Etymology: In honor of Dr. Bohlin who first collected remains of dinosaurs from the badland of Gansu Province.

Holotype: IVPP V. 11116

Locality: Gongpoquan Basin, Town of Mazongshan, Subei Mongol Autonomous, Jiuquan City , Gansu (Kansu) Province, China.

Horizon: Middle grey unit of Zhonggou Formation, Xinminbao Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: 11 cervicals (including atlas), 5 dorsal vertebrae and fragmentary ribs.
