Etymology: Greek, nothros, “slothful” and Greek, onyx, “claw.”

Etymology: In honor of Bobby McKinley, for his support of the research on this animal.

Holotype: MSM P-2117

Locality: “Haystack Butte” locality MSM 98-78, southern Zuni Basin, Catron County, New Mexico.

Horizon: Lower Member, Moreno Hill Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Probably Collignoniceras wollgari zone.

Age: Middle Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Early Late Cretaceous.

Material: Isolated teeth, fragmentary skull elements, several cervical vertebrae, first? Dorsal vertebra, anterior caudal vertebra, ribs, fused gastralia, scapula, right humerus, complete right and partial left ulna, metacarpals, manual phalanges, 2 manual unguals, 2 ischia, 2 tibia, right fibula, partial metatarsals, pedal phalanges, and 2 pedal unguals.

Locality: Southern boundary of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Kane County, Utah.

Horizon: Mamites nodosoides ammonite zone,Trophic Shales, 65m above the local top of the Dakota Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late-Early Turonian Stage, Lower Senonian Stage, Lower Gulf Epoch, Early Late Cretaceous.

Material: Ribs, sacrum, paired right and left hind limb elements (ilia, pubes, ischia, femora, tibiae,fibulae, astragli), 7 metatarsals, 10 pedal phalanges and fragments of others, caudal vertebrae and chevrons.
