Etymology: Pampa, in honor of the Indian Pampas that lived in the central plain of Argentina, and Greek, raptor, "robber."

Species: micros PORFIRI, CALVO & DOS SANTOS, 2011
Etymology: Greek, micros, "micro": for the small size of the specimen.

Holotype: MUCPv-1163

Locality: Baal Quarry, north coast of Barreales Lake, 90 km NW of Neuquen City, Neuquen Province, Patagonia, Argentina.

Horizon: Portezuelo Formation, Rio Neuquen Subgroup, Neuquen Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch- Coniacian Stage, Lower Senonian Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Articulated left foot including well preserved metatarsals II, III, IV, complete digit II, Phalanges III-1, III-2 (well-preserved), and incomplete phalanges IV-2 and IV-3.
