Etymology: Greek, paralos, "sea", Greek, therizon, "reap" and Greek, sauros, "lizard".

Species: japonicus KOBAYASHI, TAKASAKI, FIORILLO, CHINZORIG & HIKIDA, 2022
Etymology: In reference to Jjapan, where the specimen was found.

Holotype: NMV-52

Locality: Nakagawa Town, Hokkaido Prefecture, Hokkaido Island, Japan.

Horizon: Osoushinai Formation, Yezo Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Partial vertebra, adn ap partial right hand, including metacarpal I, paroximal eds of unguals I and II, and nearly complete ungual III.

Note: A marine deposit.
