Genus: Qiupalong XU, KOBAYASHI, LU, LEE, LIU, TANAKA, ZHANG, JIA & ZHANG, 2011
Etymology: Referring to its occurrence in Qiupa of Luanchuan County, Henan Province, China and from the Qiupa Formation, and long, Chinese in Pinyin, 'dragon'.

Species: henanensis XU, KOBAYASHI, LU, LEE, LIU, TANAKA, ZHANG, JIA & ZHANG, 2011
Etymology: In reference to Henan Province of China, where the specimen was found.

Holotype: HGM 41HIII-0106

Locality: A quarry near the village of Qiupa, Luanchuan County, Henan Province, China.

Horizon: Qiupa Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Ilia, pubes, partial ischia, right hindlimb (tibia, metatarsals and phalanges).
