Etymology: Latin, prmus, "first": Named for its significance as
one of the earliest abelisaurids with textured external skull surfaces.
Holotype: MNN IGUI
Locality; Iguidi, west of In Abangharit, Agadez District, N17°56', E5°37", Niger.
Horizon: Echkar Formation, Tegama Group (Series).
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Epoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.
Material: Partial cranium lacking th eposterolateral portions of the skull
roof and palate.
