Syntarsus mexicanum HERNANDEZ, 2002 (nomen nudum)
Etymology: In honor of Mexico, where the specimen was found.
= Coelophysidae incerate sedis MUNTER & CLARK, 2006

Holotype: IGM 6624

Locality: Casa de Fidencio sublocality, western end of Huizachal Canyon near the towns of Huizachal, Anacahuita and La Joya, 15 km south-west of Ciudad Victora, Tamaulipas State, Mexico.

Horizon: La Boca Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early- Middle Jurassic.

Or Late Early Jurassic.

Material: Right half of an articulated sacrum and pelvis of an adult.
