Etymology: In honor of Diego Rosales, the discoverer of the specimen.
Holotype: MUCPv 1162
Locality: Los Pilares-Tratayen fossil site, 22 km southeast of Anelo, Neuquen Province, north-western Patagonia, Argentina.
Horizon: Bajo de la Carpa Formation, Rio Colorado Subgroup, Neuquen Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Santonian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: An associated partial postcranial skeleton, an articulated series of 5 middle and posterior dorsal vertebrae (dorsals 7-11), the posteriormos 2 dorsal vertebrae (13, 14) preserved in articulation with the sacrum (5 vertebrae), 2 dorsal rib fragmetns, the preacetabular and dorsal portions of the right ilium preserved in articulation with the sacrum, the pubic boot, and the proximal portion and partial shaft of the right ischium.
