Etymology: In  honor of German geologist, paleontologist and botanist Georg Julius Ernst Gürich (Guerich). 
= Velocipes gurichi HUENE, 1932 (sic)

Holotype: GPIM UH no. 252

Locality: Kocury (Kotzuren, Koczury, Koczurry, Koturen) near Dobrodzien (Kotzuren forest), near Guttenberg, Gorny Slask, Upper Silesia, southern Poland.

Horizon: Patoka Member, Grabowa Formation ('Lisow Breccia' [Lissauer Breccie], Middle Keuper).

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Triassic.

Material: Proximal portion of a left fibula.
