Species: jinshajiangensis ZOU, CHEN, WANG, WANG, ZHANG, ZHANG, WANG, WU & YOU, 2025
Etymology: In reference to the Jinsha River, the middle region of the Yangtze River which passes through Yuanmou County and the type locality is localited on the north bank of the river.
Holotype: LFGT-ZLJ0115
Locality: Xiabanjing Village, Jiangyi Township, Yuanmou County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China.
Horizon: Zhanghe Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Aalenian/Bajocian Stage, Early Epoch, Middle Jurassic.
Material: Nearly complete skull with mandible and 11 articulated anterior vertebrae including 20 cervical and the first dorsal vertebra.
