Etymology: In reference to Salitral Moreno, Rio Negro Province, Patagonia, Argentina; where the holotype was found.
Holotype: MUCPv-296/1
Locality: Salitral Moreno, Rio Negro Province, Patagonia, Argentina.
Horizon: Inferior Member, Allen Formation, Malargue Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Campanian- Maastrichtian Stage, uppermost Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Eggshells.
