Etymology: Agare-, referring to Agares, a demon, one of the dukes of hell, described in demonological grimoires as an old man riding upon a crocodile (Weyer, 1583) and Greek, suchus, a suffix latinized from the Greek word souchos, referring to an Egyptian crocodile-headed god.

Etymology: Latin, fontis, fonts in English, referring to Fuentes, the village in Cuenca Province, spain where the Lo Hueco fossil locailty is located, adn Greek, -ensis, "belonging to."

Holotype: HUE-02502

Locality: Lo Hueco fossil site, municipality of Fuentes, Arcas-Fuentes Syncline, southwestern branch of the Iberian Ranges, Cuenca Province, Castilla-La Mancha, Central Spain.

Horizon: Arcillas y Yesos de Villalba de la Sierra Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Campanian-Early Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Subepoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A complete skull, right lower jaw and cervical vertebra

Referred material:

HUE-03713: A relatively complet skull lacking teh posterior region of the left quadrate, quadratojugal and jugal.

Species: subjuniperus PUERTOLAS-PASCUAL, CANUDO, & MORENO-AZANA, 2013
Etymology: Latin, sub, "under" and Latin, juniperus, "juniper"; in reference to the extant juniper tree that was above the skull, whose roots still pass through some areas of the snout.

Holotype: MPZ 2012/288

Locality: Municipality of Beranuy, near the village of Serraduy del Poin, Huesca Province, north-east Spain.

Horizon: Conques Formation, Tremp Group.

Biosratigraphy:

Age: Upper Maastrichtian Stage, uppermost Senonian subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete skull.
