Genus: Chinatichampsus STOCKER, BROCHU & KIRK, 2021
Etymology: In reference to the Chinati Mountains southwest of Marfa, Texas. The volcaniclasitc sediments comparising the upper part of the Devil's Graveyard Formation are partily derived from the Chinati Caldera, and Greek, champsus, "crocodile."

Species: wilsonorum STOCKER, BROCHU & KIRK, 2021
Etymology: For Cornelia ("nellie") Wilson adn Samuel Wilson, who discovered the holotype specimen.

Holotype: TMM 45911-1

Locality: Fossil locality TMM 45911 ("Crocolicous"), Brewster County, Texas.

Horizon: Unnamed middle Member, Devil's Graveyard Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Uintan-Duchesnean Stage, Middle Eocene Epoch, Middle Paleogene Period, Tertiary Subera, Cenozoic Era.

Material: Cranium missing dorsla surface of dermal elemtns on left side as well as left premaxilla.
