Genus: Lohuecosuchus NARVAEZ, BROCHU, ESCASO, PEREZ-GARCIA, & ORTEGA, 2016
Etymology: The generic name is in refernece to Lo Hueco, Cuenca Province, Central Spain; the type locality of hte type species, and suchus, a suffix latinized Greek souchos, referring to an Egyptian crocodile-headed god.

Etymology: Greek, mega, "big" and Greek, odon, "teeth"; in reference to the autapomorphic relatively large size of the teeth.

Holotype: HUE-02920

Locality: Lo Hueco fossil site, municipality of Fuentes, Arcas-Fuentes Syncline, southwestern branch of the Iberian Ranges, Cuenca Province, Castilla-La Mancha, Central Spain.

Horizon: Arcillas y Yesos de Villalba de la Sierra Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Campanian-Early Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Subepoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A complete skull and right lower jaw.

Paratypes.

HUE-02920: A nearly complete skull lacking most of the pterygoids.

HUE-04263: The palatal region of an incomplete skull with preserves mot of its elemtns.

HUE-04378: A leftlower jaw.

HUE-05161: A right lower jaw.

Etymology: In honor of the discoverers of the holotype, Patrick and Annie Mechin.

Horizon: Gres a Reptiles Formation.
