Genus: Ocepesuchus JOUVE, BARDET, JALIL, PEREDA SUBERBIOLA, BOUYA & AMAGHZAZ, 2008
Etymology: Ocepe, dedicated to the OCP, "Office Cherifien des Phosphates", the company exploiting the phospates in Morocco and strongly participating to the excavation of the fossils, and Greek, suchos, "crocodile."

Species: eoafricanus JOUVE, BARDET, JALIL, PEREDA SUBERBIOLA, BOUYA & AMAGHZAZ, 2008
Etymology: Greek, eo-, "dawn" and Africa; in reference to its ancient age relative to other African crocodiles.

Holotype: OCP CEK-GE 45

Locality: 'Couche III', Oulad Abdoun Basin, Morocco.

Age: Late Maastrichtian Stage, uppermost Senonian subepoch, Upper Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A crushed skull, lacking the ventral part and the premaxillae.
