Etymology: In reference to the State of Utah, where the specimen was discovered.

Holotype: USNM 15996

Locality: "Myton Pocket," Uinta Basin, Uinta County, Utah.

Horizon: Myton member.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Eocene Epoch, Paleogene Period, Lower Tertiary Subera, Lower Cenozoic Era.

Material: Slightly incomplete skull, right ramus and both ends of the left, distal ends of the left tibia and fibula, tarsus, and 4 metatarsals lacking there distal ends.

Referred material:

Number: Not given: Right ramus lacking the posterior end, and a fragment of a maxilla.

Etymology:

Holotype: CM 9600

Locality: Levitt Creek, about 5 miles east and south of Mountain View, Uinta County, Wyoming.

Horizon: Black's Fork Member, Bridger Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Bridgerian, Early Eocene Epoch, Paleogene Period, Lower Tertiary Subera, Lower Cenozoic Era.

Material: Skull missing anterior tip, lower jaw and skeleton.
