Etymology: Latin, egregius, “outstanding, excellent”.

Holotype: LiTNIGRI (IGL) No. 20-034

Locality: Northern Saremby No. 20 borehole, depth interval 2941.8-2949.8 m, basin of Pechora and Usa Rivers, European Russia.

Horizon: Toravey Formation, Sotchem-Kyt Horizon.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lochkovian Stage, Lower Early Devonian Epoch, Early Devonian.

Material: Almost complete rostrodorsal palte, left posterolateral part missing.
