Etymology: Latin, serratus, "toothed like a saw," referring to theserrated margin of the dorsal shield.

Locality: Pavant Range, near Kanosh, west-central Utah.

Horizon: Sandy Member, Sevy Formation.

Etymology: Latin, taphos, "a tomb," and Latin, ensis, a suffix denoting locality, referring to Death Valley as teh collecting locality for this species.

Locality: Trail Canyon, Panaminte Mountians, Death Valley, California.

Horizon: Lippincott Member, Lost Burro Formation.
