Genus Tujiaaspis GAI, LI, FERRON, KEATING, WANG, DONOGHUE & ZHU, 2022
Etymology: Pinyin for the Tujia people, a minority ethnic group in China, in reference to the two fossil sites located in Xiangxi Tujia, Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, and Xiushan Tujia, Miao Autonomous County, Congqing Municipalty, China, and Greek, aspis, "shield".

Species: vividus GAI, LI, FERRON, KEATING, WANG, DONOGHUE & ZHU, 2022
Etymology: Latin, vividus, "spirited, full of life."

Holotype: IVPP V26668

Locality: Lianghe Village, Yongdong Town, Xiushan County, Chongqing Municipality, China.

Horizon: Huixingshao Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle-Late Telychian Age, Llondovery Epoch, Late Early Silurian.

Material: Nearly complete fish.

Paratypes:

Locality: Kapeng Reservoir, Baojing County, Xiangzzi, Hunan Province, China.

Horizon: Huixingshao Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle-Late Telychian Age, Llondovery Epoch, Late Early Silurian.
