Etymology: In honor of Sir David Attenborough, who first drew attention to the Gogo fish sites in his 1979 seires Life on Earth.

Holotype: WAM 07.12.1

Locality: Stromatoporoid camp locality, Gogo Station, near Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia State, Australia.

Horizon: Gogo Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Frasnian Stage, Lower Late Devonian Epoch, Late Devonian.

Material: Nearly complete specimen.
