Etymology: In honor of Mr. M. Wallace, Depart. Geology, University of Tasmania,
who discovered serval fishes from the Buchan area in 1982.

Locality: From the vicinity of Rocky Camp Quarry, north of Buchan, Eastern Victoria State, Australia.
Horizon: Top of the McLarty Member of the Murrindal Limestone.
Biostratigraphy :
Age: Emsian Stage, Upper Early Devonian Epoch, Early Devonian.
Material: An almost complete median plate.
