Species: menzeli DENISON, 1985
Etymology: In honor of Mrs. Paul Menzel of Waverly, Iowa, who collected the holotype and generously donated it to the Univeristy of Iowa.

Holotype: SUI 33860

Locality: Pint’s Quarry, Raymond, Blackhawk County, Iowa.

Horizon: Cedar Valley Limestone, Rapid Member.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Givetian Stage, Late Mid Devonian, Late Middle Devonian.

Material: An articulated specimen from the above.
