Etymology: In honor of Wiliam Haws, Jr., friend of Lund and cooperating professional collector in the Bear Gulch Limestone.

Holotype: CMNH 46092

Locality: South of Becket, Fergus County, Montana.

Horizon: Bear Gulch Limestone of the Heath Formation, Big Snowy Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Chesterian, Namuerian E2B, Serpukhovian Epoch, Late Mississippian Subperiod, Early Carboniferous Period.

Material: Small specimen lacking brainzase and posterior fins, in part and counterpart.
