Ichnospecies: kalkowensis NIEDZWIEDZKI & PTASZYNSKI,
2007
Etymology: In reference to the village of Kalkow, where the first poorly preserved
specimen of this ichnospecies was observed on a sandstone slab in the wall
of a Catholic sanctuary (Sanktuarium Maryi Matki Boskiej z Ziemi Swietokryzskj).
Holotype: Muz PIG OS-220/251 (Plaster cast).
Locality: Right bank of Swislina River, Wiory, near Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski, Swietokrzyskie (Holy Cross) Mountains, Poland.
Horizon: Wiory Formation, Labyrinthodontid beds.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Middle Buntsandstein, Scythian Epoch, Early Triassic.
