Ichnogenus: Deltapodus WHYTE & RAMANO, 1994
Etymology: Greek, capital letter “delta”, which refers to the basically triangular outline of the pes and Greek, pous/podos, "foot."

Etymology: In honor of Harold Brodrick, who was the first to document dinosaur footprints from the Saltwick Formation in the Whitby area.

Holotype:

Locality: Fallen from the cliffs at Saltwick, western end of Rail Hole Bight (Grid reference NZ 90951133), approximately 700 m east of Whitby East Pier, near Whitby, Yorkshire County, England, Southern United Kingdom.

Horizon: At the base of 0.6-0.7 m thick sandstone, approximately 6.2 m above the base of Saltwick Formation, Ravenscar Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Aalenian Stage, Lower Dogger Epoch, Middle Jurassic.

Material: Pes and manus prints.
