Ichnogenus: Farlowichnus LEONARDI, FERNANDES, de SOUZA CARVALHO, SCHULTZER & da SILVA, 2023
Etymology: In honor of James (Jim) O. Farlow, Emeritus Prefessor of Geology as well as Adjunct Professor of Biology, at the Department of Geosciences, Indiana-Purfu Univeristy at Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA; as a sign of hig esteem and gratitude for his outstanding contribution to tetrapod ichnology.

Etymology: Latin, rapidus, "agile"; with a unusually running tait and a cursorial lifestyle theropod trackmaker, corssing the dunes that nowadays are at Araraquara county, Sao Bento Quarry adn others quarriesa and localities.
Holotype: LPP-IC-0200
Locality: Sao Bento Quarry, district of Ouro, Municipality of Araraquara, Sao Paulo State, Brazil.
Horizon: Botucatu Formation, Sao Bento Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Berriasian-Hauterivian Stage, Neocomian Subepoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: A slab with one trackway of four foot-prints.
