Etymology: In reference to the Woodbine Formation, which yielded the holotype.

Holotype: SMU, Shuler Museum of Paleontology, Southern Methodist University, 74651.

Locality: SMU locality 234, North Shore of Grapevine Lake, Denton County, Texas.

Horizon: Woodbine Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.

Material: Artificial cast of left print, number 1 in trackway 2.
