Etymology: After Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, where the bird tracks were discovered, Latin, ornis, 'bird', and Latin, pes, 'foot'.

Etymology: In honor of Martin G. Lockley, who greatly contributed to the study of vertebrate tracks from the Cretaceous of Korea.
