Ichnogenus: Menglongipus XING, HARRIS, SUN & ZHAO, 2009
Etymology: From Chinese, Menglong, "vigorous dragon" and Greek, podus, "foot"; Menglong referes to the ostensibly fierce nature of the trck maker.

Etymology: In reference to the holotype locality in China.

Holotype: T.A. 1

Locality: Nijiagou trackiste, Chicheng, Hebei Province, China.

Horizon: Tuchengzi Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Tithonian Stage, uppermost Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic-Valangian Stage, Lower Neocomian Subepoch, Lower Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Molde of a track.

Paratypes: T.A. 2-4: 3 additional nautral molds, all part of an instu trackway.
