Etymology: The genetic epithet means bird track from Shandong Province.
Ichnospecies: muxiai LI, LOCKLEY & LIU, 2005
Etymology: In honor of Muxia, name of the first author's daughter, who played
a very important role in discovering and recognizing the new ichnogenus.
Holotype: LRH-DH01 (LRH-dz-67, plaster cast of type)
Locality: Houzuoshan Dinosaur Park, Lingquan Town, Junan County, Shandong Province, China.
Horizon: Tianjialou Formaiton, Dasheng Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Age: Barremian Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch-Aptian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
