Etymology: Greek, teras, teratos, "monstrous" and Greek, podus, 'foot'; in reference to the large and well defined claws.

Etymology: In reference to Malargue Department, where the tracks are located.

Holotype: In situ.

Locality: Agua del Choique site, Malargue Department, Mendosa Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Anacleto Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower-Middle Campanian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: An-1/T-1 trackway composed of Track-1 left pes, Track-2 left manus, Track-3 right pes, Track-4 right manus, Track-5 left pes, Track-6 left manus and Track-7 right pes.
