Ichnogenus: Zizhoupus LI & ZHANG, 2017
Etymology: In reference to the local region Zizhou County where the footprints were found, and Greek, pous, "foot."

Etymology: In honor of Mr. Wang Jun, who found the footprints and contacted the authors to study an dappraise them.

Holotype: NWUV 1404 (field number 12zz14)

Locality: Longweimao site, Zizhou County, Shaanxi Province, China.

Horizon: Layer e, Yan'an Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Middle Jurassic.

Material: One large positive right track with tridactyl digit impressions.

Ichnoparatype: NWUV 1405 (field number 12zz15): 1 large negative (concave) left track with tridactyl digit impressions.
