Etymology: From the village of Novaya Beden’ga, olga Region, European Russia, the place of its discovery.

Locality: Right bank of the Volga 12 km upstream from Ulyanovsk, Volga Region, European Russia.

Age: Upper Hauterivian Stage, Lowermost Neocomian Subepoch, Lowermost Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, shoulder girdle, fore fins, part of the vertebral column.
