Species: odontopalatus MAISCH & MATZKE, 1998
Etymology: Greek, odous, “tooth” and Latin, palatum, “palate”;
chosen for the unusual condition of a toothed palatine.
Holotype: GPIT-O/v-76272 (1797?)
Locality: Monte San Giorgio, Tessin Canton, Switzerland.
Horizon: Besano Formation.
Biostratigraphy: Grenzbitumenzone.
Age: Anisian/Ladinian Stage boundary, Mid Triassic Epoch, Middle Triassic.
Material: Fragmentary skull.
