Etymology: In reference to the state of Ohio, where the specimen was found.
Holotype: USNM 21861
Locality: 10 miles west of Steubenville, in SW 1/4, SE 1/4, SE 1/4, sec. 24, Wayne Township, Jefferson County, Ohio.
Horizon: Conemaugh Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Late Pennsylvanian.
Material: 2 fused neural arches and a small part of a third with the proximal
portion of a neural spine attached to one of the arches, three separate fragments
of proximal portions of neural spines, parts of two
or more neural spines apparently from a region intermediate between proximal
and distal portions of four neural spines, fused, parts of the distal portions
of four neural spines, fused, and parts of the distal most portions of two
neural spines, fused.
