Locality: Benk (Weißdorf), near Bayreuth, Oberfranken, Bayern (Bavaria) State, southeastern Germany.

Horizon: Benk Formation (Grabfeld Formation) Benk Sandstein, (equivalent of Lower Gipskeuper) Schilfsandstein, Middle Keuper.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Earliest Carnian Stage, Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: Front part of a skull.
