Etymology: Named in honor of Mr. Adam Striegel, who found the specimen.

Locality: Excat locality on file in section of Vertebrate Paleontology, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, FedEx Corporation proptery, Allegheny County, Western Pennsylvania.

Horizon: Casselman Formation, Conemaugh Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Virgilian, upper Stephanian, Upper Silesian Series, Gzelian Epoch, Late Pennsylvanian (Late Carboniferous).

Material: Greater part of a slightly distorted skull that is missing both posteroventral corners and the right posterolateral corner of the skull table, the mandibles, represented mainly by the tooth-bearing, dorsal margins of the dentaries and the anterior portions of the splenials, and firmly articulated with the skull roof, as in the greater portion of the atlas-axis complex that includes the atlas and axial neural arch.
