Etymology: In honor of Edward M. Bassett (1863-1948) for inspiring a love of Science and anture in his family.

Holotype: ANSP 20053

Locality: Near the village of Hyner in Clinton County, Pennsylvania.

Horizon: Duncannon Member, Catskill Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early late Famennian Stage, Upper Late Devonian Epoch, Late Devonian.

Material: Left cleithrum and scapulocoracoid.
