Etymology: In reference to the upper Kalna Horizon, named after the main fossil locality Horni Kalna, near Arnultovice, Czech Republic.

Holotype: MEBHK - P 82447

Locality: Outcrop 'Track in ravine on the edge of the forest', 50°33'58.599"N, 15°43'17.873"E, near the villae of Arnultovic, 3 km north of the town Hostinne, Krkonose Piedmont Basin, Bohemia, Czech Republic.

Locality: Upper Kalna Horizon, upper part of the Prosecne Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Asselian to Artinskian Stage, Rotilegendes Epoch, Early Permian.

Material: A subcomplete skeleton corresponding to an adult individul and skull.
