Etymology: Latin, dentatus, "toothed."

Holotype: MNHN MAE3037

Locality: Near Iraro, Ankitokazo Basin, Ambilobe Region, Diego Suarez Province,Madagascar.

Horizon: Middle Sakamena Formation, Middle Sakamea Beds.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Olkenekian stage, upper Scythian Epoch, Early Triassic.

Material: Fragmentary skull.

MNHN MAE3031a, b: Isoalted posterior palate, com0prising teh parasphenoid plus pterygoids.

MNHN MAE3049: Complete right hemimandible of a very lage individual.

MANHN MAE3050: Fragmentary skull of a large individual.

MHNHN RHMA03: Partial skull roof and part of the manible in articualtion.

MSNM V2995: Partial skull of a small individual.

MSNM V6238 (cast): Fragmentary small skull.

MSNM V6239 (cast): Almost complete dorsla surface of roof and several parts of palate.
